Festooned Butterfly is the labor of love by one person, Angie Carter. It all started when I was a child and my mother would make a wonderful ordeal out of sewing my Halloween costumes. As my skills with the sewing machine grew so did my love of creating costumes, clothing, and accessories. I’ve ever worn a store bought costume and I truly believe you don’t have to either! You do not need to waste money on a store bought costume that is made with inferior fabrics, will probably fall apart before the night is over and will not fit you properly. You can have a well made costume that will last and will fit you, because it is made just for you.  

I have been sewing and drafting patterns for a number of years and it is my desire to provide you with a practical and delightful handcrafted item that is well made with love and the pride of my craft. I handcraft each item that is for sale in my home out of new or recycled materials. All fabrics are pre-washed (so they don’t shrink the first time you wash an item, and then as a result are ruined!), all recycled fabrics are also washed, if I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing it I will not use it.
